Tolle Metalli Canticum Essentia!!

First of all, I apologize for the first post title in latin... but the theme deserves it :P If you have visited my blog the last two days, surely you saw a mp3 player (still in beta version), called Flamma Cantici ---it means Canticles of Flame---; in it you could listen an entire song of Thy Majestie, and three one-minute-time samples of Nightwish, Sonata Arctica and Epica.

Well... I'm proud to say, after registering a hosting space in Google Pages for storing songs, now the mp3 player is finished and ready to work. Even, I have changed the name too; since this moment, it will be called Metalli Canticum Essentia (or MCE), that is, Metal Canticles' Entity. Besides, the post title means Raise the MCE!!

This player is pretending to be a way for discovering a new kind of music (power metal) or even listening to music while you are reading my "great" posts :)

I have planned changing the tracklist in the time line, but for the moment, you can enjoy 13 songs of 13 different bands (if you don't domain mathematics, I will solve the problem: every song is from a different band XD) of different styles, within power metal. Because of these substyles are always tagged obsessively, and maybe a band gathers various substyles, I won't enter in an eternal discussion about bands' caractheristics and influences. I will only say that this initial band selection is really reflecting the music I'm usually listening (walking with my iPod overcoat ;)), since the classical power metal like Helloween to the peculiar experiments of Rhapsody and Luca Turilli, passing through acclaimed bands like Kamelot or Epica.

All the songs conform a entire cd: a one-hour of music is awaiting for you at this moment. I hope you will enjoy the songs!!

So, just one more thing before finish the post: all the tracks have been declarated public by the respective bands; that is, all the songs you are able to listen with MCE are free for listening in the bands' myspace pages, or they are public videoclips, or even some of them can be downloaded by their official homepages.

No more for now, people; bye bye and long live to metal!! :)

Hey!

I would have never said you did this tracklist XD It's a really good selection, with two bands new to me.

If I were you, I would have add an old nightwish song, when Tarja was the singer, instead of a new one. Everybody know she is better than Anette (Let's flame XD). Just joking :P

I'll be waiting your "great" new posts to read them listening this tracklist :D

Thanks for be agree with the tracklist, nuser :) There are some good bands out of this: Stratovarius, Angra, White Skull, Freedom Call, After Forever, Avantasia... who knows? Maybe they will appear soon... :P

And... yes, I understand about the Nightwish song... Tarja is more better than Annette (well... Annette isn't a bad singer at all... but she is not Tarja :S); but in my policy of uploading audible free songs, I hate Nemo; besides, I like Amaranth: it has this commercial flair around it too, but in my opinion is better than Nemo :P
